Helping your dog move easier, feel better, and stay independent - as they age

As dogs get older, movement can start to feel harder — climbing stairs, getting up from a nap, keeping up on walks. Conditions like arthritis or neurologic disease, including IVDD, can make it even harder to know what to do.

At Grey Paws Acupuncture and Rehabilitation, helping senior dogs age well is at the heart of what I do.

I work closely alongside your primary veterinarian, as part of your dog's care team — providing complementary care that supports the treatment plan they've already put in place.

Every treatment at Grey Paws is hands on, combining medical acupuncture, myofascial bodywork, laser therapy, PEMF therapy and a home exercise plan built specifically for your pet — not a generic protocol. It's care rooted in touch, attention, and a real relationship with your pet.

Aging isn't the only reason a dog might need this kind of support. I also see dogs earlier in life — helping them recover from injury or surgery, including IVDD or CCL repair, or helping to build strength and stability in dogs with an early arthritis diagnosis to help slow its progression.
And beyond mobility, acupuncture can support dogs managing conditions like kidney disease, allergies, and GI issues.

No matter your dog's age or diagnosis, my goal is the same: helping them feel better, move easier, and live fully.

What people are saying about their experience with Grey Paws

Dr. Kori has been providing intense therapy for Rocky for over 4 years now… muscle building, stretching, laser treatment, and massage. Rocky had a hard life and after needing surgery on his remaining back leg his prognosis was not favorable…wheelchair bound. However, Dr. Kori never gave up and neither did Rocky! Today Rocky can walk, run, and play as if he never lost his back leg or the hip joint in his other one! Thank you Dr Kori, you have brought so much joy to our family!

PictureTessa
In January (2021), we had to part with our last dog, Tessa, who was about nineteen years old. Tessa was truly an angel and had suffered greatly in her long life. We adopted her from a shelter six years ago, and in that brief period of time, she endured numerous, serious health problems, including two ACL tears (& subsequent surgeries) and total blindness (due to severe glaucoma) three years ago. We knew Tessa was near the end of her life, but we wished to try every option available to help her walk better and ease her arthritic body, as we truly felt she wanted to stay with us longer. Our vet’s office told us about Dr. Kori Dreitlein, whose practice, Grey Paws, was specializing in treatments for elderly pets.
We immediately contacted Dr. Kori and began taking Tessa to her office for care. The acupuncture did not seem useful in Tessa’s particular case, but the laser and massages did noticeably relieve her pain and allowed her to function better. We knew there were no treatments that could cure our angel and extend her life further, but we have no doubt that the care that Dr. Kori provided for her gave relief to both her and us in her last months. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Kori, who is not only a skilled veterinarian, but is also a kind and loving person, and we would highly recommend her to anyone seeking special care to enhance the quality of life for their aging pets.
