In January (2021), we had to part with our last dog, Tessa, who was about nineteen years old. Tessa was truly an angel and had suffered greatly in her long life. We adopted her from a shelter six years ago, and in that brief period of time, she endured numerous, serious health problems, including two ACL tears (& subsequent surgeries) and total blindness (due to severe glaucoma) three years ago. We knew Tessa was near the end of her life, but we wished to try every option available to help her walk better and ease her arthritic body, as we truly felt she wanted to stay with us longer. Our vet’s office told us about Dr. Kori Dreitlein, whose practice, Grey Paws, was specializing in treatments for elderly pets.
We immediately contacted Dr. Kori and began taking Tessa to her office for care. The acupuncture did not seem useful in Tessa’s particular case, but the laser and massages did noticeably relieve her pain and allowed her to function better. We knew there were no treatments that could cure our angel and extend her life further, but we have no doubt that the care that Dr. Kori provided for her gave relief to both her and us in her last months. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Kori, who is not only a skilled veterinarian, but is also a kind and loving person, and we would highly recommend her to anyone seeking special care to enhance the quality of life for their aging pets.
